City of Atlanta, Princeton Lakes Fire Station #36

Market:

Facilites

Location:

Atlanta, GA

project scope

The City of Atlanta aimed to create a fire station that could serve as a prototype for future designs. This 3-bay fire station has top-of-the-line equipment and setups to accommodate 12 or 14 dormitories, a commercial kitchen, a public community room, a complete decontamination zone with dedicated exhaust, an on-site diesel fuel station, and a Risk Category IV essential building design.

One of the standout features of this firehouse is its focus on the surrounding neighborhood. It includes a spacious Community Room that meets the local community’s needs. This area is conveniently located and adjacent to an outdoor partially covered patio, providing an adaptable space for community gatherings, meetings, and events.

Overall, this firehouse is a functional and cutting-edge firefighting and emergency response facility. It is a testament to a commitment to community engagement and harmonious integration into the local environment. It sets a high standard for future firehouse designs and is an excellent model for others.

Rohadfox, as part of the Astra Rohadfox JV, provided construction management services for the project.
